A POPULAR fish and chip restaurant has been targeted by late night yobs 16 times in just 18 months.Winston's in Beach Road, Weston, has had its windows smashed on numerous occasions, and the owners have spent £6,000 on replacements. Manager Dean Carpenter said: "It's upsetting for our staff and unsightly for our customers. It seems to happen every six weeks, usually after the weekend when people have been out in town. Sometimes it's a door, other times it's a window, but the bills are quickly mounting up."Mr Carpenter has written to the council to ask for some funding for security shutters, which could cost around £10,000. Managers also enquired about the installation of a CCTV camera on Beach Road, but were told each one costs around £18,000. The latest incident happened between 8pm on January 15 and 8am on January 16 when a window in the door was smashed.
