A MASSAGE parlour in Weston has been targeted by paint-throwing vandals.Emmanuelle's, in Baker Street, had each of its windows, doors and garage covered with black paint, which was thrown at the premises in the early hours of Tuesday (Jan 9).The attack follows an incident last week in which the premises, which used to operate as a dog grooming parlour, had its windows smashed. The owners of the parlour, which has been the subject of controversy since it opened its doors last year, currently has an appeal lodged with the planning inspectorate. An application to North Somerset Council for a change of use was rejected in September 2006. The outcome of the appeal is expected to be heard in July.Business owner Kaye Laker, aged 29, said: "It's very disheartening. We are just trying to earn a living running a legitimate business like everybody else. I don't know who would want to do this. "Initially we had a few problems, but I think it was just down to ignorance and people thinking we would bring trouble to their doorsteps." I think people are now aware that we run a quiet and legal business and that we also have children and families. We have a lot of support from the neighbourhood and have always done our best to work with residents and the police."A police spokesman said: "We have had a report of criminal damage against the property, but as yet no arrests have been made.
