Gardening has begun in earnest in a part of Worle as part of a ‘food revolution’.

Community project Big Worle has launched an Incredible Edible project, which will see vegetable plots spring up around the area.

The idea is to give people a chance to learn about, and eat, seasonal produce, while also improving the appearance of the area.

Volunteers have started work to create a vegetable plot in a Worle resident’s front garden, and tomato seeds have already been planted.

Organiser Karen Blake said: “The sun was out and we all had a lovely afternoon at the first official Incredible Edible Worle work party.

“Thank you so much to all the wonderful volunteers who came to launch the food revolution in Big Worle.”
