VERNON Kay will party the night away in a string of Weston bars as he prepares to host one of the biggest music festivals of the summer. The Bolton-born TV presenter is trying to decide which nightspots to spend his Saturday night in before he launches T4 On The Beach on June 18.American superstar rapper Busta Rhymes is the latest top name to be added to the bill for the return of Channel 4 event. He will join acts like raunchy girl band Pussycat Dolls, dance giants Basement Jaxx and boy band McFly.Organisers say the event's 30,000 tickets are fast disappearing and around 500 tickets are being sold every day.T4's presenting team of Steve Jones, June Sarpong, Miquita Oliver and Vernon Kay will host the event.Speaking to the Weston Mercury this week Vernon said: "There's going to be loads of great acts and loads of people doing what they do best - entertaining."I'm so pleased Channel 4 is able to bring an event like this to somewhere like Weston."I'm looking forward to getting into the party spirit and going out for a few beers the night before."Last year everyone had a karaoke session in the hotel and then Steve Jones and I hit the seafront bars for the night. It was a great laugh and I'm looking forward to doing it again."The thing that surprised me when we were about town was the number of people giving me excuses as to why we should give them a ticket. "One of the great things is that we're able to show the rest of the country there are places outside the big cities. We could easily just book Hyde Park out for the day but the fact that we've chosen Weston again is brilliant for the locals."I'll be driving down the afternoon before and I'll be keen to find out if there are any new bars and then I'll just be looking forward to getting up on the stage and having a good time."The stage will be set up on the south end of the beach and gates will open at 11am. Tickets, priced £25, are available from Ticketmaster on 08712 302644 and www.channel4/t4
