‘Very caring’ Worle man to jump out of a plane for charity

A Worle man will jump from 10,000ft to raise money for a charity close to his heart.

Aaron Michell, aged 20, had his life turned upside down when his father’s bad back turned out to be a rare form of cancer.

Peter Michell, aged 55, is undergoing treatment for myeloma, which he was diagnosed with in April.

Aaron decided he wanted to do something to raise money for the research charity Myeloma UK, which is searching for a cure for the disease – and decided to do something out of character and skydive.

He said: “I am feeling very nervous going in and I think the scariest bit will be when they open the door of the plane and I look down.”

Aaron has so far raise more than £1,000 and hopes to raise even more in the weeks leading up to the dive, which will take place on September 2.

Peter said: “Aaron is a very caring lad but he was never one for dangerous pursuits.”
