NAILSEA'S annual Victorian fayre is to undergo a revamp - and could become the town's very own Children in Need night.Organisers of the fayre, held each December, say after last year's event it is time for a change and are considering tying in the night with Children In NeedThe event will still be run by the Methodist Youth Club of Nailsea (MYCON) with support from Nailsea Town Council and Nailsea Town Centre Limited. One of the organisers, Liz Frappell, said: "We are looking at bringing the date of the Victorian Fayre forward to tie it in with Children in Need night on November 7."It has been running in the same format now for a number of years and we thought it was time to have a fresh look at it."We still want to run it along the same theme with stalls all around the precinct, town centre and High Street, with each doing their bit to raise money for Children in Need."It is likely we will still have the fairground rides, which we know are a big attraction on the night."A meeting has already taken place between fayre supporters, MYCON and town centre bosses as to how the event will move forward.Another meeting to start shaping the future of the evening is planned within the next fortnight.Mrs Frappell added: "We would be keen to hear from anyone who has ideas, or from anyone who wants to get involved in helping with the organisation of the event."There is no doubt the Victorian fayre is a popular event with the people of Nailsea and we don't want to stop it, just look at how it can be improved."Anyone with ideas, or anyone who wants to get involved, should contact the MYCON centre on 01275 852889.
