THRONGS of people packed out Weston's Grand Pier for the second day running.
Today (Sun) thousands of thrill seekers waited anxiously outside the gates before flooding in at 10am to see the new multi-million pound structure
Due to the huge flurries of people at about 1pm pier bosses were forced to lower the barriers to filter determined members of the public in and out.
Smiling faces and excitable children could be seen inside the pier as the crowds queued for a range of rides from go-karts, dodgems and a 4D cinema, to a whole a host of traditional favourites - including the ghost train and fun house.
Owners Kerry and Michelle Michael opened the gates yesterday, in time for the school half-tem holidays, and Weston MP John Penrose declared the landmark attraction open for business.
