Archant

A WESTON business was raided by burglars who spent hours stealing £6,000 worth of stock in the dead of night.

The thieves took most of Hussain’s stock, including thousands of pounds worth of alcohol and even toilet rolls, ice-cream and a mop from the Orchard Street restaurant’s store room.

The culprits, who were caught on CCTV, spent about three-and-a-half hours taking items from the building at the rear of the business in the early hours of January 14.

It appears from CCTV footage that a vehicle may have been parked around the corner while two men stole the stock.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the burglary.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the burglary is asked to contact police on 101.
