Almost 900 people completed this year’s Mendip Challenge to raise vital funds for Weston Hospicecare.

The charity’s Harry Cardno has prepared this video to show footage of the walkers tackling 10, 20 and 30-mile routes across the Mendips.

Fundraisers also explain why they took on the challenge and how grateful they are for the invaluable support the hospice provides.

Weston Hospicecare is still counting up the amount raised from the event, but it is hoping to exceed last year’s total of £56,056.

The charity, in Uphill, is hugely grateful to the businesses and volunteers who supported the event and helped to make it a huge success.

Howards Motor Group sponsored the walk, while Bakers Dolphin coaches ferried walkers to their starting points.

Lidl donated bottles of water and snacks and Uphill’s Westhaven School allowed the hospice to use its grounds for the after party.
