HUTTON Parish Council is hoping to put on a special bus service to ferry youngsters from the village to Barcode youth cafe in Weston

HUTTON Parish Council is hoping to put on a special bus service to ferry youngsters from the village to Barcode youth cafe in Weston. The council has been trying to find a leader to run the village youth club for about 18 months but nobody has come forward.Cllr Sharon Chitty did not want the youngsters to be without anything to do, so she came up with the idea for a bus to take the teenagers into town on Friday nights.Parish council clerk Andy Basterfield said: "I think it's a great idea. We're trying to find out how many youngsters are interested in it."A number of people came forward to help out with the youth club but we haven't found anyone to lead it so we can't open."The bus would resolve the issue and give the youngsters something to do."Hutton Youth Club used to open on Friday nights, but it has been closed since the last youth leader resigned in 2005.The parish council is hoping to start the Barcode Express next month. The bus, which seats 30 people, will take the youngsters to the popular venue on two Fridays each month and if the service is successful, councillors hope to make it permanent.Anyone interested should call the parish council office on 01934 813871 by the end of July.
