A BANWELL heritage group is opening up the village's tower and caves for an event next week.

The open day will also give people the chance to check the progress of a restoration of a pre-historic bone museum at the site.

The museum was built in 1837 and displays bones from the caves.

The attraction can be accessed from Well Lane.

The event, which will also feature the sale of cakes, will take place from 10.30am-4.30pm on May 29.
