A DUCK race, quiz night and brass band concerts will form part of a charity festival in Banwell, starting tomorrow (Fri).

Organisers of Banwell Charity Festival have set up a two-week long calendar of events in the village until July 24.

It will kick-off with a Somerset Brass Band Concert at St Andrews Church in West Street at 7.30pm tomorrow.

Following on, there will be a village walk at 2.30pm on Sunday, an auction night at the village hall in Westfield Road at 7.30pm on July 15 and a duck race from the Brewers Arms in Church Street at 2.30pm on July 24.

The events, organised to replace last year’s carnival, will raise money for village charities.

For more details or for tickets, call Julie on 01934 822842 or Kath on 01934 822919.
