A NORTH Somerset village has become a no doorstep trading zone.

New signs have been put up around Bleadon informing people of the change.

The villagers’ stance has been backed by Avon and
Somerset Constabulary as well as the trading standards team run by North Somerset Council.

The signs were put up by Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator Dave Jones, parish council chairman Penny Skelley and PCSO Emma Wright.

Residents also received stickers to put on their doors telling traders to stay away.
