Village gears up for Michaelmas fair

WINSCOMBE is gearing up for another day of fun at its 33rd Michaelmas fair.

The event will be held at the community centre in Sandford Road on September 8 from 1.45pm onwards.

There will be more than 200 categories in the horticultural, craft and home baking sections, while there will also be entertainment from the National Dog Rescue Trust, Bold Brass, the Chalice Morris Men and the Winscombe Community Choir.

Entry forms for the show categories are available in the programme which is on sale around the village, or from the library.

Completed forms must be sent to Mike Threasher, 16 Homestead Way, Winscombe, BS25 1HL and received by 8pm on September 6. For enquiries phone 01934 843776.
