Wedmore Methodist Church

FUNDS raised by Wedmore’s Carols and Candlelight service enabled the village’s Methodist Church to present £1,400 to Charlton Farm Children’s Hospice South West.

The event was held on December 14 and was packed with residents who came to hear carols and poetry and see musicians and singers perform.

This service has become more and more popular since it first started 8-years-ago with the money raised increasing every year. This year’s donation brings the overall amount raised for the hospice to £6,783.50.

Treasurer Ruth Tucker presented the cheque to the hospice’s representative Jackie Hampson on Sunday.
