ALL the fun of the fair was had in East Huntspill last Saturday as the village church held a May celebration.

A bouncy castle, games, stalls and a barbecue were held in the church and its hall. More than £400 was raised on the day, with proceeds going to All Saints’ Church, which is about to install a new roof.

Churchwarden Sue Elsworth said: “It was a great day, the sun came out and there was a brilliant turnout. We had a little train in from West Huntspill, and ahead of the last service in the church on Sunday it was a great weekend to see it out before the roof is replaced.”

Services will be held in the village hall while restoration works are carried out on the roof, which is expected to take around 12 weeks.
