Winscombe residents braved the rain and took part in the village's first ever wassailing ceremony on Sunday.
The ceremonial procession set off from the community orchard, close to the Strawberry Line, before heading back to the Winscombe Community Association to enjoy some Thatchers cider, Alvis cheddar and homemade apple cake.
Councillor Chris Ballard said: “The wassailing ceremony is a real first for Winscombe.
“Despite inclement weather, more than 30 people, including wassail queen Ruby Smith, Mendip morris man Chris Avery and wassail king Colin Burbidge, completed the ceremony.
“All of the day’s events were well received and everyone enjoyed a great event – despite the weather.”
