Villagers enjoy May Fair on the Green

Maypole dancing, games and barbecued food drew crowds to the Millennium Green in Congresbury on Saturday.
The May Fair on the Green was opened by Mike Williamson, the retiring chairman of Winscombe and Sandford Parish Council.
Winscombe Primary School performed a traditional maypole dance, while animal lovers we given the chance to get up close to some feathered fair-goers, courtesy of Avon Owls.
Families lined up to try their luck with the human fruit machine, while other popular stalls included a tombola, wheel of fortune and name the dog.
Cubs and scouts from Winscombe ran a craft stall and there were also fairground rides for thrill-seekers to enjoy.
Performances included a puppet show by the RNLI and a demonstration by George's Street Dancers.
The fair is organised by the Winscombe and Sandford Millennium Green Trust.
