VILLAGERS in Locking are wanted to join in discussions on the future of their playing field.

The parish council is planning a regeneration project of the field in Grenville Avenue.

But members want the opinions of parishioners to help shape up a proposal and are inviting the residents to a meeting tonight (Thurs).

Chairman Mike Cooper said: “We had football teams playing on the pitch last year but this season we have none because of the poor surface caused by the hot, dry summer.

“We recognise this problem and want to begin a project to sort the pitch out and maybe regenerate the field further.

“This is at a very early stage, but we’d like to get villager views on the what is wanted.”

The meeting will take place at 7.30pm at the village hall in Grenville Avenue.
