BLAGDON Parish Council is looking at taking on public toilets in the village after residents were surveyed about keeping the conveniences.
With North Somerset Council looking to relinquish responsibility for the upkeep of public conveniences, a survey was held to see how many people wanted to see them retained in the village.
Fifty-nine per cent of villagers who responded to the survey said they wanted the toilets kept in The Mead and transferred to the parish council, while 32 per cent were against the idea and nine per cent did not know.
The council is now looking into costs and will discuss the proposed takeover at its next meeting at the village club in High Street on November 13.
