A VINEYARD has scooped an international prize for its wine.

Dunleavy Vineyard in Wrington won bronze at the International Wine Challenge, which had more than 13,000 entries from around the world.

Judges praised the 2013 pinot noir for its fresh aromas and lively flavours.

Vineyard owner Ingrid Bates said: “It makes the years of hard work leading up to this feel worthwhile. We thought this wine was great but it’s nice to have it confirmed by the judges.

“After the lovely summer this year, I can’t wait to see what our 2014 release gets.”

It was one of a number of awards collected by the vineyard in 2014, as its wine won at the Bristol Good Food Awards.
