WESTON Hospicecare will hold a concert, Voices for Hospices, this Saturday to celebrate World Hospice Day.

The concert will include music from the Cheddar male voice choir and the Cheddar Valley music club brass band and ensemble.

Similar concerts will be taking place all over the world, creating a wave of voices which are supporting hospices.

Sue Sweet, community fundraiser at Weston Hospicecare, said: “We are hoping that with the support of the local community attending the concert, we will raise around £2,000. This could pay for pain relieving medication for all the patients in our In-patient Unit for nearly two months which would be an amazing achievement.”

The event will take place at Victoria Methodist Church, in Station Road Weston at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £6 for adults and £3 for children. For more information contact Weston Hospicecare on 01934 423900.
