Volunteers spruce up town park

GREEN-FINGERED volunteers have been doing their bit to keep Weston's Grove Park in full-bloomed glory.
Community-minded people and businesses from around the resort are currently getting into the swing of maintaining its various gardens and areas.
Mark Walker, from Walkers Garden Retreats, is maintaining the new Macmillan Cancer garden near to the Grove Park Café, while the Soroptimist group has worked on the garden of fragrance, having already painted a leaf gate in the park.
And on Fridays a newly-formed group is meeting to restore the rockery area.
While their main task at the moment is weeding, they will soon start replanting the area with suitable alpine plants.
