Volunteers tidy up Prince Consort Gardens

THE Friends of Prince Consort Gardens has now completed its two-year project of clearing the cliff at the Birkett Road entrance of the park.
Long-standing volunteers Diana Vaughan, Steve Monger and Brian Wilkinson laid the last ton of Lakeland blue slate forming the border with the footpath last Saturday morning.
The group chairman, Brian Wilkinson, said it has cost about £2,500 in materials, funded with £1,200 from Weston Town Council in 2013 and the balance from spontaneous donations.
