A VOMITING bug that has caused disruption at Weston General Hospital is still lingering more than a month after its initial discovery.

The norovirus is still affecting one ward at the hospital and Weston Area Health Trust has decided to heavily restrict visiting hours.

A hospital spokesman said: “Visiting to all ward areas remains restricted to one hour between 6.30-7.30pm each evening.

“Visiting restrictions are in place to help prevent further outbreaks while the virus is still circulating within the North Somerset community and will be reviewed on a daily basis.”
