MORE than £3,000 was raised by kind-hearted people who attended a fund-raising event in St Georges at the weekend.
MORE than £3,000 was raised by kind-hearted people who attended a fund-raising event in St Georges at the weekend.
A two-mile walk, organised by the village community church, was held to represent the average distance an African woman or child walks every day to find water.
The money raised will go towards building a resource centre and provide clean drinking water in Ulumbi, a village in Kenya.
Sponsorship money can be paid to Brian Humphreys at The Frost Partnership, in Worle High Street, or at the community centre in Willow Close, St Georges.
