The National Autistic Society charity is based in Somerset Court in Harp Road, Brent Knoll. Staff are aiming to raise £3,000 for a sensory room to offer additional support to those who live there.

Amy Thorne, regional manager at the centre, helped to organise the walk from Weston to Burnham, which raised around £250. She said: “The sensory room will give people a place to go when they are anxious and it is a space for individuals to fulfil their sensory needs.

“Thank you to everyone who helped during the walk, and those who donated along the route.”
