HOW do you fancy meeting the world's best footballer, Lionel Messi, along with his Barcelona team-mates?
Or attending a VIP evening at the glittering Professional Footballers’ Awards in the heart of London? Or enjoying a VIP day at a Bristol City game, or unique experiences at Chelsea, Fulham, or QPR? Or having Jose Mourinho’s world coach of the trophy on display in your home?
Everyone has the opportunity to bid for these and more than 150 other ‘money can’t buy’ prizes in a unique online auction which is raising money for two fantastic causes.
Sir Bobby Robson’s Breakthrough Ball and Auction aims to raise £250,000 for the legendary soccer manager’s own foundation, which funds research into cancer, and also the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Former England boss Sir Bobby fought cancer five times before dying in 2009.
The online auction has been up and running for nearly two weeks, and the total bids are quickly heading towards £100,000. It closes on Sunday.
Among the items up for grabs is a chance to attend a training session at Barcelona FC, meeting Lionel Messi and the rest of the first-team squad, and receive a shirt personally presented by coach Pep Guardiola.
There’s also the chance to bid for an unforgettable VIP experience at a Bristol City home game.
There are also fantastic prizes donated by Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham, QPR, Fulham, Millwall and every Premier League club and all the clubs managed by Sir Bobby during his long and illustrious career.
David Beckham has donated a signed shirt and football and Jose Mourinho has given his FIFA Ballon D’Or world coach of the year trophy. Imagine having that on display on your mantlepiece!
It’s not just football – there are prizes for just about everyone – luxury hotel breaks, pampering sessions, powerful car experiences, and so much more.
