Dignity Funerals runs the crematorium in Ebdon Road, Worle, and it has received reports from five families that vases have been taken from plots within its grounds.

A spokesman from Dignity said: “Their vases have been removed from plots within our grounds.

“Our staff will remain vigilant to try to prevent this but the grounds are open to the public throughout the day and evening to help other bereaved families pay their respects to loved ones.

“The crematorium grounds are generally a safe place but we would advise families not to leave items of high monetary or sentimental value.”

They asked anyone who has information, or sees any incidents, to contact the crematorium office on 01934 510608. Dignity has also asked police to increase foot patrols at the crematorium.
