New CCTV footage has been issued as part of the police search for missing Weston-super-Mare man Deakon Wilkins.

The 24-year-old has been missing since the early hours of January 14 and has not been in contact with any friends or family since.

His family have issued an emotional plea to bring their son home and are even offering a financial reward for any information which may help them find Deakon.

Deakon was last seen by friends at Motion nighclub, in Avon Street in Bristol. Police have carried out extensive searches on land and divers have searched the canals near where Deakon was last seen.

An initial CCTV image was released in the early days of the police appeal to find Deakon, but now new video footage has been released.

The CCTV footage shows a man – who police believe to be Deakon – walking along Cattle Market Road at 4.43am on January 14.

DI Steve Cartlidge said: “Our search for Deakon continues and we will do everything we can to find him.

“This CCTV shows a man matching Deakon’s description walking down Cattle Market Road on the morning he was last seen.

“Did you drive or cycle down Cattle Market Road in the early morning on January 14? Did you see a man walking along the road or anything unusual?”

“We’re still keen on speaking to anyone who was in the Temple Meads area and saw Deakon and who hasn’t already made contact with us to get in touch.

“We are continuing to support Deakon’s family and friends.”

Avon and Somerset Constabulary also set up a mobile police station outside of Motion at the weekend, in the hope of finding fresh leads.

Deakon is described as white, of medium build, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with ginger hair and has a tattoo between his neck and chest of the word ‘Rush’.

He was last seen wearing a red fitted jumper, black smart blazer, dark jeans and red trainers.

Anyone who sees Deakon is asked to call 999 and provide the call handler with the reference 5217012724.
