WESTON’S seafront water park will be closed for at least a week for new toilets to be built on the site.

North Somerset Council granted planning permission for the new facilities to be installed at the attraction owned by Weston Town Council.

The Water Adventure Play Park will be closed from Tuesday for the works to be carried out and will last approximately seven days.

Temporary toilets have been located at the site since the park opened last year while the council looked into different options for permanent facilities.

The new permanent block will include two toilets, one of which will have baby changing facilities as well as disabled access.

A spokesman for the town council said: “Signs have been put up at the park letting people know about the closure.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused but we hope the end product will be better facilities for all park users.”
