COMPETITIVE water skiing returned to Burnham last weekend as over a dozen contestants took to the water.
Sunday’s event was the first time since 2007 that a high-profile competition has taken place in the town, and dozens of spectators watched from the Esplanade as the competitors zoomed around the bay.
With the weather calm and dry, Jake Frame, British Junior Champion, won the main event, with Burnham resident Toby Duggan coming third.
The success of Sunday’s events has sparked hopes that the National Championships could return to the town in 2011.
