Archant

WAYNE Rooney and a massage parlour - has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it?

The England football icon has made national headlines on several occasions for his alleged penchant for ladies of a certain persuasion.

Now the Manchester United star’s colourful reputation has provided inspiration for a tongue-in-cheek painting by a prolific Weston graffiti artist.

The artist carried out the latest art attack this week with the help of an accomplice, and the piece - at the entrance to a massage parlour in Weston’s Alexandra Parade - has already proven a talking point with passers-by.

The painter, who asked not to be named, said: “I knew it would be funny to put him at a massage parlour, given his record.

“I’d like to thank my friend Shady Aftermath for helping me execute this so smoothly.”
