The annual Wedmore Flower Festival was a huge success, with one of its best turnouts.

The festival, which raises money for the upkeep of Wedmore Methodist church, took in an estimated £1,450.

The listed building opened its doors on Saturday and Sunday to outstanding flower displays, arts and crafts stalls plus tasty cream teas.

Church member Barbara Ellis, who had her watercolour art on display, said: “It was a brilliant two days, lots of people enjoyed the flowers and refreshments on offer.”

Church members offered visitors coffee and cake in the morning, soup for lunch and cream teas in the afternoon.
