A FOUR-YEAR-OLD from Weston will be putting on her favourite wellies to help support the work of Weston Hospicecare.

Arianna Lester will take part in the half-mile Wellie Waddle on May 21 and will be collecting sponsorship money from her friends and family.

Her grandmother Penny, of Shaftesbury Close, has worked at the Uphill hospice as an accounts administrator for 14 years.

The 57-year-old said: "I usually help at other fund-raising events, registering people or marshalling, and so when I found out about the waddle I thought it would be brilliant to get Arianna involved.

"Working at the hospice, I know what a wonderful job all the staff do and I want to give as much as I can to help fund-raising efforts.

"I am sure we will have a good time and I know there will be a great atmosphere."

This is the first time Weston Hospicecare has held a Wellie Waddle and it will take place at Animal Farm Adventure Park in Berrow.
