The full line-up for 2018’s Weston Air Festival and Armed Forces Day has been announced.

The popular Weston air show will feature stunning displays and will offer entertainment for the whole family in the skies and on the ground.

When will Weston Air Festival take place?

This year’s event will be held on June 23 and 24.

It is an important year in the history of British flight, since the RAF is celebrating its centenary this year.

Will the Red Arrows be at Weston Air Festival?

The ever-popular Red Arrows are back once again, promising another stunning show on the seafront.

The Red Arrows are the world’s leading aerial display team, and they will thrill the crowds on Saturday from 4-5pm and Sunday from 2-3pm.

What date will the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight be?

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will pay a moving and poignant tribute to the pilots who helped to turn the tide of World War Two in 1940.

It will provide a fitting tribute to British air power on both June 23 and 24, featuring the Hurricane, Avro Lancaster, Supermarine Spitfire and the Dakota C-47.

What aeroplanes will be at Weston air show?

A packed programme has been announced for this year’s event. The RAF Typhoon will fly on June 23 from 1-2pm and on June 24 from 2-3pm.

The five-man formation Team Raven display team will also head to North Somerset for the weekend, flying their signature Vans RV aircraft between 1pm and 2pm on the Saturday and 3-4pm on Sunday.

Visitors can also enjoy the T-67 Firefly from 3-4pm on Saturday and 1-2pm on Sunday, while stunning stunts will be performed by the AeroSuperBatics Wing Walkers, at 4-5pm on June 23 and 3-4pm on June 24.

Will there be any helicopters at Weston Air Festival?

If helicopters are more your thing, you are in luck. The Red Bull BO-105’s unique routine will feature loops and it will turn upside down on Saturday from 2-3pm and Sunday from 1-2pm.

Audiences can also enjoy the Gazelle Team helicopters from 2-3pm on Saturday and 4-5pm on Sunday.

What is happening at the Weston Armed Forces Day?

The event will once again take place on the Beach Lawns.

It will start with an opening parade, led by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines.

Display teams, cadet forces, military and civilian bands will all take part, and there will be field gun races and military music.

All air displays are subject to change due to weather conditions, and military aircraft may be needed to perform elsewhere.
