Weston-super-Mare’s seafront was packed yesterday (Saturday) as locals and residents turned their eyes to the skies to admire pilots’ skills in aeroplanes and helicopters.
Mercury readers took stunning pictures during Weston Air Festival from the brilliant vantage point of the beach.
The Red Arrows proved to be the big favourite as they put on a spectacular display, full of colour and verve.
Nick Page Hayman ensured he was in the best place to photograph the Armed Forces parade as it made its way to the Beach Lawns, where current and former servicemen joined together.
Weston Air Festival is back today (Sunday) for another spectacle in the sunshine.
Plane-watchers will once again be treated to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Red Arrows, and the booming sounds of the Typhoon.
The Armed Forces events will also continue on the Beach Lawns.
