Weston churches' cash advice course

PUBLISHED: 17:00 08 January 2012

TWO churches in Weston are set to offer a free course to help people tackle money problems in the traditionally lean new year period.

Members of Locking Castle Church and Woodspring Community Church in Locking Castle were trained by charity Christians Against Poverty to offer a CAP Money course.

It will teach people how to track their household income and take control of their expenditure.

CAP spokesman Emily Cumberbatch said: “With households feeling the squeeze on their disposable income, we’ve all got to get a bit more savvy about our money to get through these tough times. If you know how to save and budget effectively, it can have a hugely positive impact on the whole family.”

The first course takes place in Meeting room 1, Locking Castle Church, Locking Castle, Bransby Way, at 10am on January 21.

To book a place on the course, call 01934 519888.
