A Weston College lecturer has raised more than £800 for a mental health charity by having his chest waxed.
Neil Adams teaches electrical insulation and decided to raise money for Burnham-based charity In Charley’s Memory, as his daughter has suffered with mental health issues.
The charity was created by Charley Marks’ mum after the 18-year-old took his own life after battling with mental health issues.
Mr Adams said: “Bringing my story to the college and then having them support the charity is incredible.
“In Charley’s Memory is a fantastic charity that has provided excellent support and counselling to my daughter over the last three months.
“It’s amazing to have raised this amount of money for them and it’s only been achievable through the support of this faculty, the staff and the students.”
He also said he wants to encourage his students to use the welfare and support services which are available at the college.
