A continental street market will be open on Weston-super-Mare’s seafront for the rest of this week.

It is the first time the event has been held in the town, and stalls have been installed in Princess Royal Square.

The street market opened yesterday (Wednesday) morning and will remain in place until Sunday.

People can go along from 10am-5pm to pick up continental cuisines from a host of traders, and buy some unusual craft items.

A spokesman for RR Events, which has set up the street market, said: “Set in Princess Royal Square, among the picturesque gardens and fountain, the event is sure to be a quality addition to the already bustling line up of attractions in the resort.

“The event will feature 
a line-up of quality and authentic international-themed traders.”

The continental street market is taken around the country, with its next dates set for Croydon in London and New Brighton in Merseyside.
