The gardens and courtyard area at Weston General Hospital have been transformed, thanks to some green-fingered volunteers.
A group from Lloyds Banking Group spent time weeding and pruning at the hospital in Weston-super-Mare.
It was the idea of Jo Newey, who works at Lloyds but is also chairman of Weston’s Sunshine Hospital Radio.
Sheridan Flavin, director of human resources at the hospital, said: “The volunteers worked extremely hard and our gardens and courtyard have been transformed into a tidier, more welcoming space for the hospital’s staff, patients and visitors.
“Enhancing our outside spaces makes a real difference to the experience people have at our hospital and the changes will have an immediate impact.”
