A WESTON group has been voted the best of its kind in the UK.

A WESTON group has been voted the best of its kind in the UK.

The town's sea cadets were awarded The Canada Trophy for 2009.

The gong means the group beat off 399 others across the UK to win it for the third time.

The cadets had previously been judged the best in the South West and received the Stephenson's Trophy for the ninth time.

It then went forward to the national finals and was voted the best of the bunch.
