Weston Hospicecare is urging people to take part in a week-long event which helps people organise their wills, while also raising vital funds for hospice patients.

Make Your Will Week will take place from February 27 to March 3 and solicitors across North Somerset – Bartlett, Gooding and Weelen, Bennetts, Holley and Steer, John Hodge Solicitors, Powells Law and Wards Solicitors – will be offering their services free of charge for people who wish to create wills, in exchange for a donation to Weston Hospicecare.

Donations made during last year’s Make Your Will Week raised more than £13,000 for the hospice.

The charity’s fundraising and events manager Sally Davis said: “This special week is an excellent opportunity for people to make or update their will while supporting a great local cause at the same time.

“Last year, 111 people made a will during Make Your Will Week and gained the reassurance of knowing their will had been prepared by an expert professional.

“We really appreciate the solicitors giving their time, free of charge, to help Weston Hospicecare.”
