A WESTON garden designer wowed judges at this year's Malvern Autumn Show with his Somerset-inspired entry, which scooped two gongs.

Mark Walker, of Walker’s Garden Retreats, won both the best edible garden award and a silver-gilt medal at the show on September 24 and 25, with his Somerset’s Pride garden.

The entry depicted a rural farmyard setting and featured herbs, wheat and vegetables grown in and around Weston, and was a hit with Royal Horticultural Society judges.

Mark, of Avon Close, Weston, said: “It was an absolute honour to win such an accolade, especially with an entry that was inspired by and used so many things that came from Weston itself.”
