AN ADVENTUROUS Weston man took part in a challenging full marathon – up a Welsh mountain.
Neil Andow, aged 25, took just three hours and 26 minutes to complete the epic 26.2-mile run up Snowdonia in North Wales.
The Longridge Way resident came 119th out of 2,000 competitors and raised £1,100 for the Children’s Hospice South West.
The former Priory Community School pupil said: “I have competed in Weston’s Tough Ten three times but this was a lot harder.
“The track was loose, it was freezing and there was also hail.”
Neil, who works at Ford Bros in Cheddar, said he now plans to take part in next year’s Loch Ness marathon in Scotland.
