A Weston amateur jockey has decided to ‘give something back’ to a charity which has supported him during his battle against cancer.
Tony Passmore, aged 58, was diagnosed with terminal adenocarcinoma in February and has been given six to 12 months to life.
He said: “Since I was told my diagnosis, Macmillan Cancer Support has been there to support me and my family.
“I have been going through chemotherapy and have not lost any of my hair so I would like to brave the shave for the people who have done so much for me already.”
Tony and his wife of 18 years, Joanne, were ‘devastated’ by the news but were making the most of the time they have left together.
Tony is due to have his head shaved at Duncan’s Barber Shop in Worle High Street today (Saturday) at noon.
