SIX weeks ago, Weston mum Mandy Davies-Jones left her son with his dad for the weekend - but he never returned, and she now fears he has been abducted and whisked off to Africa.

After being ‘kept in the dark’ over five-year-old Freddie’s whereabouts since August, she now believes him to be in The Gambia with her estranged partner, suspected fraudster Andy Priddle.

Ms Davies-Jones only realised her former partner had absconded with Freddie when she went to collect her son - and found Mr Priddle’s home had been emptied of furniture and belongings.

She said: “There was nothing left in there at all, the house was completely empty. I didn’t know what had happened, so I had to do some investigating to find out where they had gone.

“Before they went I had touched Freddie on the arm and he said ‘ow’, as he had had injections. I found out from the doctor they were done for him to go to The Gambia, which is where one of Andy’s former business partners is.”

Freddie was supposed to have started Year 1 at Hillside Primary School in Weston at the beginning of September, but Ms Davies-Jones hasn’t had any contact with him or his father since dropping him off at Mr Priddle’s property on August 22.
