Staff and volunteers at Weston Museum celebrated its first year of opening with a party at the weekend.
The museum, in Burlington Street, reopened in August last year, following a £1.6million refurbishment.
Visitors on Sunday were treated to re-enactments and the opportunity to learn more about the museum’s regular events.
Families could also make mosaics, and enjoy a slice of a cake designed to look like the museum.
Since the museum’s revamp, its 31,000 visitors have enjoyed 3,200 cups of tea and eaten approximately 765 teacakes.
A team of volunteers have given 3,330 hours of their time to support it.
The museum’s next big event will be its Big Dig on September 8 from 10am-5pm and September 9 from 10am-4pm.
Children can learn what it is like to dig for fossils and explore more about specimens discovered in Somerset.
