A body art festival will be held at Weston Museum this weekend.
The festival exploring different ways to decorate the human body coincides with the museum’s temporary exhibition called The Art of Self-Expression.
The exhibition looks at facial hair and tattoos through the ages, including the origin of styles which are popular again now, and features a mixture of weird and wonderful objects.
During the festival, Weston College students will demonstrate hair and make-up techniques, and children can dress up with some different beard styles.
Contributors will offer henna, body-painting and special effects make-up.
There will also be a competition for the best tattoo design.
The aim of the event is to celebrate stylists and body artists and the work they do.
Entry to the body art festival is free and it will take place at the museum, in Burlington Street, on Saturday, from 10am-4pm.
