Weston Museum is recruiting volunteers to welcome visitors to its temporary exhibitions.

As part of its £1.6million refurbishment, the museum, in Burlington Street, opened a temporary gallery space named after its founder William Mable.

The gallery can host touring exhibitions, and its latest, which opened on Saturday, features Punch and Judy through the ages.

The museum is looking for extra volunteers to enhance visitors’ experiences of the exhibition, and help with future ones.

Volunteers will welcome visitors and assist in keeping it tidy.

While knowledge of the exhibitions is an advantage, it is not necessary as professional training will be given each time an exhibition changed.

To learn more, contact the museum’s volunteer co-ordinator on lisa.clemons@wsm-tc.gov.uk or call 01934 621028 and ask for Lisa.
